red pines
Riley Trails, Holland, Michigan after a heavy January snowfall.
Not since childhood have I experienced a winter like a winter in Holland, Michigan, 2014! An opportunity to enjoy and explore rather than be discouraged by sub zero temperatures and snow storms. As a result of my travels, I was inspired to capture this scene that demanded my attention. A fresh mantle of snow broken by a trekkers trail and punctuated by shadows of red pines was a panoramic awakening, vibrant and alluring.
This was an ArtPrize 2014 entry, on canvas, 15 x 60". Image presentation was at Zoup! On the Medical Mile. For pricing and custom canvas processing send inquiries to info@bongearts.com.
ArtPrize is an international art event in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
